Angkor Wat : Made famous by the first Tomb Raider movie, Angkor Wat is a sprawling collection of ancient Khmer-style temples in Angkor, Cambodia, built for king Suryavarman II in the early 12th century.  Though I tried to be especially thorough with my old Canon, I'm not sure I effectively captured the amazing size and grandeur of the many, many temples that actually comprise Angkor Wat.  If you are planning a visit, I don't think it is possible to see it all and appreciate it in less than a week.

Phi Mai Temple : Years before I got a chance to visit Angkor Wat in Cambodia, a friendly co-worker of mine in a bank in Bangkok invited me on a trip to see his home city near Phi Mai.  Always up for an adventure, I took him up on his offer.  What I didn't know is that the trip would take us to this beautiful, virtually unknown (outside of Thailand) Khmer temple.
