Siem Reap : Siem Reap's major attraction is the nearby massive and ancient Angkor Wat temple. So accordingly the majority of my pictures from my trip to Cambodia are of the temple. An interesting thing about Siem Reap is the name. Evidently, the name roughly translates into the Blood of Siam (or Thai blood), and was named due to some war or feud between the Cambodians and the Thai to be insulting to the Thai people. I became aware of this shortly before ordering the tickets from Bangkok. I felt like apologizing to the kind lady at the Bangkok airport when she asked my destination.
