New York Galleries

NYC : The pictures in this gallery are of my first visit to the city in 2003. While I was doing some work for a bank in Buffalo, I was able to arrange for a weekend trip to the city to have a look around and to catch up with a buddy of mine from college. And three years later, I returned with more time to spend and a more powerful camera. Check out what I saw in my 2007 NYC gallery, and my Manhattan at Night gallery (taken from the Empire State Building at night).

NYC New Year 2007 : These pictures were taken over the 2007 New Year in New York City. I apologize for the quality of some of these pictures. The camera I purchased shortly before this trip (to replace my much-missed stolen camera) has some settings on it that result in disappointingly grainy pictures. I have included some of these in this gallery because their content is interesting. In other cases, I took advantage of the defects for the purposes of experimental enhancement. That being said, there are plenty that came out beautifully, and at higher resolution than ever before. Enjoy, and feel free to comment. Manhattan At Night : This gallery is exclusively pictures taken December 28th 2006, at around 11 at night from the top of the Empire State Building. Just for fun, I've added black and white versions of some of the pictures (in some cases they look better that way). Most tourists are not aware that the Empire State Building's observation deck stays open until around 2 AM. As it turns out, the night time is the right time to visit. The lines are shorter, and the city is even more amazing at night. Don't miss the 2007 NYC gallery, and my older 2003 NYC gallery. Both are full of interesting pictures.
