Madrid is a fantastic city, and I'm not just saying that because it is home to the worlds finest breakfast/post dinner snack: Churros con Chocolate. I'm saying it because nearly everything else you eat there (in small tapas portions of course) is unbelievably tasty. In retrospect, I'd have to say that nearly everything I liked about this city was somehow connected to the food, which I hadn't actually realized until just this moment. Unfortunately, that means that very few of my pictures portray this finest aspect of Madrid. Never the less, it is an attractive city also.
No a trip to Spain is complete without admiring the organic, flowing architecture of
Antoni Gaudi. It's some of the most amazing stuff that you may have never seen or heard of before. (I hadn't!)
Other Spanish cities:
Granada (home of the massive moorish fortress the
Alhambra) and sleepy little
Chinchon
Generally speaking, a Hard Rock Cafe is always an interesting place, and while different from city to city, rarely worth a serious picture. That clearly excludes the giant, shuddering, animatronic smoke-snorting bull that sticks out of the wall of the Hard Rock in Madrid.
