Quinta da Regaleira is a vast and eccentric estate dominated by art and architecture of the occult, mythology and secret societies such as the Templars and Masons and was the vision of its original wealthy eccentric owner and his architect. Quinta da Regaleira is located in a dense forested area in the old quarter of Sintra and has been classified as World Heritage site by UNESCO. While most of the artifacts are symbolic only, it was implied that some also had functional purpose, potentially in the proceedings of some secret society in the early 20th century.
